NADTA Credential Reinstatement

If your membership has lapsed less than two years, please contact [email protected] to pay your dues along with the required late fee. Please ensure your Continuing Education (CE) certificates are current in your NADTA member profile. Your credentials do not require reinstatement at this time.

If you need to reinstate your credential (RDT or RDT/BCT) after a lapse of two years or more, you will need to submit the following information in the online form to be reviewed by the Registry/BCT Committee:

Reinstatement applicants must submit:

  1. A reinstatement request letter explaining when your Registry lapsed, why you wish to be reinstated, and what you have done to stay current in drama therapy since your lapse. Please include current contact information at the top of your letter: your email, phone number, and address, so that the Registry committee can contact you if needed.
  2. Completed Continuing Education form with documentation of the 30 Continuing Education Credits completed in the last two years, including certificates from workshops, conferences, courses, etc. (Please refer to the Continuing Education Webpage for details.)
    1. Continuing Education Hours Documentation Form
    2. Continuing Education Hours Certificates / Documentation
  3. Signed and scanned Code of Ethical Principles. (Please refer to the Ethics Webpage details.)
    1. Code of Ethical Principles
  4. $100 Reinstatement Fee
  5. Payment of past membership dues owed up to two years, if two or more years have lapsed in addition to the current year of membership dues for RDTs. *If you are an RDT/BCT, dues in arrears must be paid in full (back to your membership expiration date). To learn about this policy, please see ARTICLE IV in the Bylaws.
Online 2023-2024 Reinstatement Application

For questions or assistance with the online reinstatement process, please contact the NADTA office [email protected] and [email protected].

The Registry Committee will review your application after submitting all the documents. The review process typically takes 8 weeks. Once your application is approved, you will be provided a membership dues renewal link to pay for the current year's membership due.
Renewal of the Registry is contingent upon signing and adhering to the NADTA Code of Ethical Principles, staying current with annual Registry fees which are due by May 1st each year, and remaining in compliance with the Continuing Education Policy.
