Founded in 1983, Drama Therapy at NYU Steinhardt offers students world-class training with leading drama therapists in New York City. The program is approved by the New York State Education Department and meets the academic requirements for Licensure in Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT) in New York State and the Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) certification with the North American Drama Therapy Association. 

Drama Therapy at NYU Steinhardt prepares students to translate their love for theatre into culturally responsible, creative, and compassionate care.

• Work in partnership with people and multidisciplinary teams to address specific challenges and promote health in clinical and community internships throughout NYC
